A Major Poker Festival Returns to Atlantic City

Over the years, the Borgata Winter Poker Open has become a must-play tournament for many poker players. It attracts many entries, has an excellent reputation, and is very popular.

The schedule is also friendly to players. There are a lot of no-limit hold ’em events, special formats, and deepstack games in the 2026 calendar.

Borgata Poker Operations Director Kellie DeCelis said that the goal is to make the experience more exciting for both casual and serious players.

The series is meant to attract both amateur and experienced players who want to win significant prizes by offering a wide range of events with varied buy-ins.

Championship Event Takes Center Stage

The highlight of the series is the Winter Poker Open Championship. The event features a buy-in of $3,500 and a huge $3,000,000 prize pool guarantee.

The game will start on Saturday, January 10. The first of three starting flights will begin at 11:15 A.M. Eastern Time.

The second and third starting flights will begin on Sunday, January 11, and Monday, January 12, at the same time.

Players who will manage to survive the first few days will come back for Day 2 on Tuesday, January 13, at noon local time.

Thursday, January 15, will be the last day of the event. Live streaming of the final table will be available for those at home.

Online Qualifiers and Easy Registration

The Borgata Winter Poker Open is renowned for its strong online ties.

Players in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania can win seats to the finals and other games through BetMGM Poker. Online qualifiers run daily, and some buy-ins are as low as two dollars.

The BetMGM Poker app gives players the opportunity to register in real time on the same day. This makes it simple for people to sign up quickly, so they don’t have to wait in long lines. This makes it easier and a more enjoyable live poker experience.

More Highlights and Events to Watch

The 2026 schedule has a lot of other great games besides the main title. The Almighty Winter Kick Off starts on January 3 and ends on January 7.

Players can buy in for four hundred dollars, and there will be at least one million dollars in prizes.

The Deepstack Main Event is another big draw. It will run from January 7 to January 11, and there is a $600 buy-in and a $2,000,000 guarantee.

There is also an Online Hybrid Championship that begins online on January 4 and concludes live at Borgata on January 8. The top twenty players who perform well in mixed games will get prizes on the Mix Event Leaderboard.

BetMGM’s YouTube channel will stream the action live for fans. In 2026, there are more big games with a much larger prize pool than the previous year.
