09 Sep 2025 The World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship Series will return to Wynn Las Vegas from December 2 to 22, 2025. Poker players can mark their calendars now. The WPT announced an exciting 21-day schedule on September 8, featuring a wide range of games, including mixed games, Omaha variations, and special tournaments for women and seniors. During the event, there will be satellites. The $10,400 WPT World Championship is always the best part, though. The $10,400 WPT World Championship The WPT World Championship is the biggest event of the series. The entry fee is $10,400, and winners from WPT Championship stops throughout the year will be eligible to participate. The event takes place from December 13 to 21 and has three starting flights on the first day. On Day 2, the survivors will play together, and the game will go on until the final table is reached on December 21. Then, the last few competitors will fight it out on a live-streamed TV final table. Scott Stewart won the WPT World Championship last year, defeating 2,392 other players to secure the top prize of $2,563,900. WPT Prime Championship: $5 Million Guaranteed The WPT Prime Championship is another big event in the WPT World Championship Series. It costs $1,100 to enter and features a massive $5 million guaranteed prize pool. It all starts on Sunday, December 7, with the first of four flights on Day 1. There will be a final table after Day 3 on December 12. The remaining players will then come back on December 20 to participate in a live-streamed final table. In 2024, the Prime Championship attracted an impressive 9,670 entries. Zak VanKeuren took home an astounding $1,162,350 after going head-to-head with Jim Casement for the title. Ladies & Seniors Championships The WPT will also host World Championship games specifically for women and senior citizens. The Ladies NLH Championship starts on December 13 and lasts for two days. The buy-ins are $1,100, and the prize pool is $250,000. Following this, the three-day Seniors NLH Championship begins on December 18. The entry fee is $1,100, and the winner receives $500,000 in prize money. Furthermore, starting on December 20, a $10,000 Seniors High Roller with a $500,000 guarantee will be available. These events will take place over three days. PLO, Mixed Games & More The WPT World Championship will feature various games, including NLH, for those who prefer something different. The series, spanning from December 8 to 21, will host several Omaha-style events. Several mixed game events will also be held, including the $1,600 H.O.R.S.E. and T.O.R.S.E. Championships, with the H.O.R.S.E. event on December 17th and the T.O.R.S.E. event on December 18th. High Rollers & Value Events Another major event in the WPT series is a $25,800 NLH tournament, which begins on December 18. However, the series offers players the best value for their money. The series also features several smaller games with guaranteed prize pools of $1,000,000 or more. The $800 NLH event will commence on the first day of the series, with the first two of six flights scheduled for Day 1. There will be two more flights on the following days, and a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000 will be awarded. One more event that stands out is the $1,100 NLH, which starts on December 16 and has two Day 1 rounds on December 16 and 17. There is a guaranteed prize pool of $2,000,000 for this event.
