08 May 2025 Ahead of the 2025 WSOP in Las Vegas, the new WSOP+ app was formally unveiled by the World Series of Poker (WSOP), with the promise of a much improved player experience through the reduction of wait times and the simplification of event registration. Key Features of the WSOP+ App The WSOP+ app, which is now available for both iOS and Android, players can pre-register for live events, bypass long registration queues, and get up-to-the-minute seat availability updates via push notifications and a virtual queue. The app also serves as a one-stop shop for all things related to the World Series of Poker (WSOP), such as schedules of events, structure sheets, chip counts, regulations, daily results, prize distributions, and much more. Ty Stewart, CEO of the World Series of Poker, said that WSOP+ would make the WSOP experience even better for all players. He said the community could save time and effort by signing up for their favourite events in advance. The app will also give players easy access to WSOP content and all the event details they need. Jack Effel, senior vice president of poker operations, said that players should notice a difference in their experience right away when they get there this summer. He said that this new technology, along with WSOP+'s improved features, should cut down on wait times, giving players more time to get to the felt and enjoy the games they love. Registration and Verification Process Before downloading the app from wsopplus.com, players should visit wsop.com/registration to learn about the procedure. Developed with WSOP players in mind, the app is cross-platform and will soon become an indispensable tool for those who play the tournament in person. To complete your WSOP+ online registration, you will need to visit the verification centre in the Champagne Ballroom at "Les Centre Des Conventions" in Paris, Las Vegas, one time. A legitimate government-issued ID, such as a passport or driver's license, is required as identification. If the main document does not contain evidence of physical residence, non-U.S. participants are required to provide appropriate documents, such as a consular or foreign ID card. Payment Methods and Funding Options Once approved, participants can sign up for events via the app, avoiding the queue line. There are many ways to pay at WSOP+, which makes it easy to sign up and play. Credit cards with a 3% processing fee, PayPal, ACH transfers (only for U.S. users), and Luxon Pay for players outside of the U.S. Players can use both WSOP Online qualifiers and Paris Tournament Accounts, which need to be topped up in person, and tickets they get from WSOP Online qualifiers.
