In this play & explain session, Pete Clarke tackles the 25NL pool across two tables. Every decision is broken down in real time - from exploitative three-bets and overbet sizing to set mining and small c-bet strategies designed to punish common pool weaknesses at this stake level.
Use GTO as a base, then exploit pool gaps - small c-bets, overbet bluffs, and set mining dominate at 25NL.
Exploiting the 25NL Pool - Hand by Hand:
- Small c-bets are used almost everywhere to punish the pool's tendency to under-raise and overcall.
- Set mining and implied odds get a big boost at 25NL because opponents play more passively post-flop.
- Three-betting is set to a pure rather than mixed strategy because the pool under-4-bets and overdefends.
- River sizing mistakes are openly admitted - a smaller bet would have extracted more value by inviting raises.
- Overbets on the turn are used as pressure tools in spots the pool plays too passively.
- Fast-playing strong hands is the right call when future streets are likely to go check-check.
- Table scanning matters - opening ranges shift based on player types in the blinds, not just card strength.
