Two-time WPT champion Jonathan Little delivers an in-depth masterclass on turn continuation betting strategy. Learn how to identify profitable turn cards, construct polarized betting ranges, select optimal bluffs using blocker theory, and adjust bet sizing based on board dynamics.

Master turn c-betting by betting polarized with nut advantage, using small pairs as bluffs on blank turns, and checking draws that fold to jams.

Turn C-Betting Mastery:

  • Equity Runs Closer on Turns - After flop betting and calling, ranges tighten significantly as opponents fold garbage while you still bet with air
  • Categorize Turn Cards - Identify if the turn is plus EV (overcards), neutral (shared top pairs), or minus EV (board pairs, completed draws) for your range
  • Bet Size Based on Board Dynamics - Use larger bets (66-100% pot) on dynamic boards with draws; smaller bets (25-50% pot) when opponents have many nut hands
  • Blocker Theory for Bluff Selection - Choose bluffs containing deuces and threes that unblock opponents' folding range of middle cards like 65, 86, 54
  • Check Strong Draws Short-Stacked - When facing potential jams, check flush draws and gutshots that have proper equity to call but would fold to aggression
  • Overcard Bluffs Over Draws - Use low-equity hands like ace-high and king-high as turn bluffs rather than risking medium-equity draws that realize value
  • Minimum Value Hand Identification - Always identify the weakest hand you can value bet to properly construct balanced polarized ranges across different turns
